It's better together

Positive Interaction is one of the key facets to achieving a balanced mind. And one of the best forms of Positive Interaction is through the achievement of a combined goal.
A couple of years ago it was suggested the Cirencester Round Table undertake a bike ride for charity. The goal was set - Cirencester to Land's End and a charity chosen - Gloucester Young Carers, for which we hoped to raise £1,000.
About four months later, after lots of training, tremendous support and a 350 mile slog through torrential rain we made it... what's more we smashed our target and raised £4,500 for the charity.

Just as important though was the friendship gained during the training and eventual completion of the challenge. We were all novice cyclists but we had to work as a team both physically and emotionally to get us through to the finish. The second day saw one of our team pull out due to illness, shortly before some of the worst hills and weather on the journey - by pulling together, relying on our training and giving each other firm support and encouragement we made it through the day and went on to the finish the next afternoon.
I tell all my clients about the importance of Positive Interaction and in particular how good it can be to be surrounded by people that share mutual trust, respect and belief. We should all find the time to be around like minded, positive people who make us laugh and smile.
I cannot write this post though without mentioning our Support Crew - Rich and Colin. They fed us warm drinks, fixed punctures, cooked bacon and generally ensured we made it to the finish. So much of life is easier when you have a support crew there to see you to the end - and that is a big part of what I, as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist offer to my clients.
