It's time to be grateful

One of the first questions I ask clients is “what’s been good about your week?”

It is a lovely open question that gives us a chance to reflect on what we have to be grateful for, whilst seeking moments of positive thought, action and interaction. The work of a hypnotherapist is at its most successful when we help clients move from their primitive brain to their rational mind. This simple question starts that process as the good in their lives moves to the forefront of their thoughts, whilst providing a respite from the negative.


Some of my clients are in the habit of journaling, speaking affirmations or using a gratitude journal, all of which are wonderful tools with incredibly positive outcomes. As tools they provide a daily opportunity to move into the rational mind and think good thoughts.

This weekend I thought I would get back into the habit myself after a short hiatus and on reflection decided it was time for a new journal. Rather than scour the internet or head to Amazon I decided to chat to the lovely Kiki from Kiki Kirby Coaching as I was fairly certain she could provide something suitable.
